Local Community

St Fillans has a thriving local community, with dinner/lunch clubs, a Scottish country dancing society and even amateur dramatics! The village also has a number of community bonfires and parties throughout the year. The community spirit is one of the reasons that St Fillans is a true quality of life place to live.

The village also boasts 3 excellent hotels with restaurants and an excellent golf course. There is also a great village shop that stocks all the day to day essentials as well as some excellent pies. The nearby village of Comrie has additional shops, restaurants and a primary school. Crieff, 12 miles away, has a large supermarket as well as private and state secondary schools.

Being in Perthshire as well as the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, there are a number of additional world class golf courses nearby, including Gleneagles. For people interested in other activities Loch Earn has a sailing club and waterskiing club as well as hillwalking in the majestic Trossachs that surround the village.

Of course sometimes it is worth remembering that the best place to be is at home with a drink and some friends sitting back and enjoying the spectacular scenery that surrounds St Fillans.
