The Fairy Stone
Before the building work started on site at Dundurn Walk we had to undertake a number of standard site tests. One of these involved digging trial pits to check the natural drainage on site. While doing this we were approached by a concerned local resident who asked us to stop digging where we were as we would disturb the fairies.
As developers we have had many different complaints over the years but that was a new one for us. On further investigation we found out that fairies did indeed live under the stone in the middle of our site and being good neighbours and not wishing to disturb them we took our designs all the way back to the drawing board and redesigned the whole site around the St Fillans' fairy stone.
The fairy stone still sits where it always has, except it is now surrounded by its own garden in Dundurn Walk and if you look very very carefully and very very quietly you never quite know what you might see...
